Canabis Z
(CONTENDER X SILVESTER)

The beautifully build Canabis Z started his sporting and breeding career at Stud Zangersheide. Afterwards Canabis Z jumped for no less than six seasons at international level, mostly ridden by Spain’s Manuel Fernandez Saro. Canabis Z has been successful at many four and ve star competitions and won the Grand Prix of Vejer de la Frontera for example.

Canabis Z is a son of the legendary Holstein bred sire Contender, who still has a great in uence on today’s breeding. The genes of the valuable sires Silvester and Cor de la Bryere strengthen Canabis’ pedigree. In addition, Canabis Z was bred out of the strong, famous Holstein damline 990.

From Canabis’ rst crop, several offspring competes successfully at the highest level, such as the Olympic mare Cadjanine Z (Gregory Wathelet and nowadays Rodrigo Pessoa), Carolus Z (Henri Kovács, Cian O’Connor and today Bernardo Alves), who competed at the European Championships in Herning 2013, and WorldCup winner Carrabis Z (Richie Moloney). Like himself, Canabis Z’s offspring catch the eye with excellent re exes, technique, attitude and a great confirmation.

Camargo
(CANTURO X FOR PLEASURE)

Camargo has got excellent genetics and proved himself in sport at the highest level. This son of Olympic stallion Canturo is bred out of the brilliant For Pleasure daughter Fit For Fun. Ridden by the Philippaerts brothers and Luciana Diniz, Camargo himself jumped at the highest level as well. With Portugal’s Luciana Diniz, Camargo won the Grand Prix of Eschweiler as well as a CSI5* 1.60m class in Calgary, Spruce Meadows. Camargo also scored podium finishes at prestigious shows such as CHIO Aachen, Liège and Chantilly – both with Luciana Diniz and Olivier Philippaerts. Another of Camargo’s great performances was the 4th place in the Global Champions Tour of Shanghai.

Ridden by Brazil’s Bernardo Alves, sire Canturo jumped at the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens and stood out for his unlimited scope and fantastic way of jumping. In breeding, Canturo produced many Grand Prix showjumpers, such as Good Luck (Cian O’Connor), Zypria S (Willem Greve), Cristy (Marcus Ehning) and Can Ya Makan (Shane Breen). Camargo’s dam Fit For Fun was even more successful in sport. Ridden by Luciana Diniz, Fit For Fun was for years one of the best showjumpers in the world. With her incredible attitude and brilliant reflexes, Fit For Fun won the CSI5* Grand Prix competitions of Rotterdam, Doha, Sankt Gallen, Al Rayyan and Basel. In addition, she came second in the Rolex Grand Prix of Spruce Meadows in 2017 and in the Rolex Grand Prix of Aachen in both 2017 and 2018. Furthermore, Fit For Fun competed at the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, the World Cup Final in Lyon in 2014 and the European Championships in Aachen and Gothenburg.

Besides the top performances of dam Fit For Fun, even more sport comes from the direct family of Camargo. For example, Fit For Fun’s full brother Flight of Ikarus also jumped at 1.60m level with Janne-Friederike Meyer and Justine Tebbel and half-brother Darco For Fun Z was approved by OS and Zangersheide.

With his two Olympic parents and his own achievements at the highest level, Camargo seems to have everything to develop into a valuable stallion in breeding. From a small number of coverings, Camargo has already produced some international showjumpers and his young offspring look very promising.

The word chapeau is usually used to express appreciation or respect for an outstanding performance, and this 4 year old BWP approved stallion delivers them time after time. Chaplin
(VERDI TN X CONCORDE)

Chaplin is a fantastic example of Verdi TN’s offspring at the highest level. Ridden by reigning European champion and number two in the world Martin Fuchs, Chaplin is one of world’s most successful showjumpers. The stallion won no less than three CSI5* Global Champions Tour Grand Prix competitions: Mexico City in 2017, Madrid in 2019 and Estoril in 2019. Chaplin was also victorious at prestigious CSI5* shows such as Helsinki, Shanghai, Zurich and Doha.

For a decade, sire Verdi TN was one of the best showjumpers in the Netherlands ridden by Maikel van der Vleuten and took part in no less than eleven major championships, including two Olympic Games. Besides Chaplin, offspring such as New York, Chief, Cuidam, Varoune, Evita SG Z, Catwalk Harry and Fleurette compete at the highest level.

Chaplin’s successes are no surprise. Dam Jaltha B is a daughter of the ‘Preferent’ awarded Concorde and jumped herself at 1.35m-level. Her dam Caltha B produced among others the Grand Prix showjumper Twilight Zeldenrust and is granddam of the successful Personality Zeldenrust and Picolien Zeldenrust. Ridden by Wesley Heijdens, Personality Zeldenrust became European Champion for Young Riders in 2007, while Picolien Zeldenrust with Doda de Miranda won many international classes.

The now 14-year-old Chaplin has never been used for breeding before, but given his fantastic pedigree and brilliant sports career, he seems a very interesting addition to the stud. Chaplin has all the qualities as a showjumper and also distinguishes himself by his mentality, rideability and spirit in the arena.

Concorde
(VOLTAIRE X MARCO POLO)

Concorde comes from very strong jumping lines on both sides. Sire of this stallion, who in jumping circles is known as Olympic Concorde, is the impressive dominant breeding stallion Voltaire, who via his sire Furioso II and Gotthard is bred to perform. Voltaire is the number 2 in the World Breeding Rankings for Showjumping Sires in 1996. Voltaire, through the performances of his offspring, stands very high in both the dressage and jumping indexes. Due to his high ranking position, Voltaire was given the ‘keur’ and ‘preferen’ predicates at a very early age. Concorde’s dam, Flyer, is by the legendary Marco Polo, one of the most influential Dutch stallions in breeding and jumping with representatives such as: Irco Polo, Pybalia, Marius, Orpheus, Mr LA, Pierrot and Recruut. Flyer is related to the international jumper Vivaldi, which under Melanie Smith was speed horse of the Year in 1980. Flyer produced at least 6 (inter)national jumpers. Concorde was himself an international jumper with Jos Lansink. They won the Grand Prix of Nordrhein-Westfalen at Aken and they were Champion of the Netherlands in 1994, 2nd in the Grand Prix of Amsterdam, 2nd Darmstadt, 2nd Lanaken, 2nd Helsinki and 2nd Gothenburg.

The last three years Concorde was the sire with the most offspring at the World Breeding Championships for young horses. The preferent Concorde has proved himself to be an absolute top sire of international sporthorses. His offspring Audi’s Jikke, Kathja, Conquest II, Larino, Viktor and Isabella proved themselves at the very top at Grand Prix level (1.60 m.) and World Cup jumping. In the Grand Prix of Rotterdam 3 from the top 8, had Concorde to thank as their sire. At the World Cup final at Las Vegas had 4 offspring in the finals. Concorde was the youngest stallion ever to be awarded preferent, due to his endless list of national and international children.. Concorde was elected “Horse of the Year” in 2004 and is the highest ranked KWPN stallion in the top ten of the WBFSH!

Concorde is only available by means of frozen semen.

For years there has been searched for stallions with ‘free’ bloodlines for dressage horse breeding. Not only in this context is this excellent Fontaine TN an asset, he also impresses with his qualities and health. This Hanoverian bred eye-catcher has been approved for Westfalen and meets the genomic requirement of the KWPN thanks to a very high score of 105. His sire Finest was declared premium stallion and has already claimed remarkable results in the young horse competitions. The Fürstenball son is also making progress as a progenitor of dressage horses, as the successes of his offspring at inspections, auctions and under the saddle are outstanding. Finest turns out to be a champion maker and Fontaine TN carries also valuable genes from his damline. Both his dam Sky and granddam Gilette were declared Staatspremie-stute and Sky is a half-sister of the international Small Tour dressage horse Raptor 3 (by Rubin Royal) of Karen Böckmann. Granddam Gilette has also foaled two third level dressage horses. Damsire Samarant showed his qualities in the Small Tour under Andreas Helgstrand and has managed to be very valuable as a breeding stallion. The oldest descendants of this Sandro Hit son are performing on Grand Prix level, such as Salenga (Sarah Waldsperger), Sam Donnerhall (Anthony Astier) and Sir Simon 12 (Ulla Salzgeber). In the third generation we meet the Graf Grannus-son Ginsberg, who not only sired multiple international show jumpers but also the Grand Prix dressage horse Gringo of Sirpa Degerth-Kaldi. From this immediate family also descent approved stallions like Lividon GPF (s.Livaldon) and premium stallion Dream Maker (s.Damsey FRH). The talented Fontaine TN is free of influential breeding stallions as Jazz, Flemmingh, Gribaldi and is facing a great future for both sport and breeding.

Floris’ grandsire Vancouver brings in the genes of Le Tôt de Semilly and jumped Nations Cups himself with Wim Schröder. The direct damline of Floris is an unique one; dam Arsinaa is none other than the half-sister of Mac Kinley, the famous Olympic showjumper who won team silver with Rolf-Göran Bengtsson and achieved an individual fourth place at the Olympic Games in Athens in 2004. The approved stallion Baedeker (Heartbreaker x Concorde), who jumps at international level with Daniel Augusto Da Rios, and the approved international showjumping stallion Rocco (Fuego du Prelet x Purioso), ridden by Ahmed Tolba, are also closely related to Floris.

Florida TN
(FOR DANCE X ZACK)

Team Nijhof proudly presents the Oldenburg vice champion For Dance x Zack. This spectacular son of the promising For Dance moves like a dream. In trot, Florida moves with a fantastic posture, lots of balance and a fantastic leg technique. In canter, he moves uphill with a lot of power and scope. On the lunge line, Florida TN impresses as well with his strength, tact and striking use of the front and hind leg. Therefore, it was no surprise that the young For dance was named vice champion of the Oldenburg stallion approval.

In addition to his talent for dressage, he has a highly interesting pedigree as well – especially for Dutch dressage breeding. Sire For Dance is a son of the proven Grand Prix stallion For Romance I and makes a great impression with his first offspring and with his performance in the young horse classes. In recent years, grandsire Blue Hors Zack has developed into one of the most influential dressage stallions of the moment and Diamond Hit and Rubinstein I have made their mark in dressage breeding world-wide.

Florida’s great-granddam Guanita II is the full sister of the Grand Prix dressage horse Rubel, ridden by Belgium’s Fanny Verliefden. This line produced even more dressage successes, including the world-famous Grand Prix dressage horse Doktor. Ridden by Shelly Francis, Dokter was among the best dressage horses in the United States for years and nowadays, the Diamond Hit son is successfully ridden by Rebecca Waite. Other famous horses out of NN’s family include the KWPN approved Team Nijhof stallion Sir Oldenburg, the Oldenburg approved Grand Prix stallion Grand Slam ridden by USA’s Mary Alice Malone and the Oldenburg and Mecklenburg approved Dargento.

It is all in the name: Guidam Sohn is an approved son of world-class sire Guidam – sire of Olympic medalists Authentic (Beezie Madden), Ninja la Silla (Rolf-Göran Bengtsson) and Vindicat W (Peter Charles and Jessica Springsteen). Successful showjumpers like Luidam (Billy Twomey), Lansdowne (Conor Swail) and Zinedine (Ludger Beerbaum) are also sired by the great Guidam. The valuable sires Zeus and Akteur strengthen the pedigree of Guidam Sohn, who also comes from a powerful damline.

Dam Fanakta also produced the international showjumper Naktibro, the AES approved son of Heartbreaker Sunny, who jumped at international level with Bart Bles and Jessica Rosa, and the 1.40m showjumper Anakta of Patrick Nisbett. Fanakta is also the granddam to Unato, who jumped at Grand Prix level with both Marcel Wolf and Sabrina Crotta.

Guidam Sohn himself was approved after a superb 100-day-test in the Czech Republic and won the Czech national title as a 5-year-old. Jos Lansink competed Guidam Sohn successfully in international young horse classes in San Patrignano, Valkenswaard and Lyon, but an injury ended Guidam Sohn’s sports career too early. From his rst crop of offspring, several jump successfully at international level, such as Boucherom, ridden by Lucy Davis, Quido Rebel, who has had many international top placings with Tim Hoster and currently Samuel Hutton and many more.

I'm Special De Muze
(EMERALD VAN ‘T RUYTERSHOF X NABAB DE REVE)

In every way, I’m Special de Muze is unique. First of all his pedigree: sire Emerald has had countless victories with Harrie Smolders, including the World Cup of Washington in 2015, the Nations Cup of Falsterbo in 2015 and the Nations Cup of Aachen and Gijon in 2013. As a sire, the son of Diamant de Semilly x Carthago also does a great job; his oldest offspring compete already at 1.45m level. I’m Special Muze’s dam Walnut de Muze has also won a lot all over the world, ridden by Harrie Smolders. Just think of Grand Prix and Nations Cup wins in Madrid, Dublin, Doha, Wellington, Mechelen and Calgary. Ridden by Christophe Barbeau, Granddam Qerly Chin jumped the World Cup final in Milan and was reserve for the Olympic Games in Athens 2004. Afterwards, Qerly Chin turned out one of the best broodmares ever to be in Belgium.

Rider Zoï Snels confirms the great qualities of I’m Special de Muze. “I think he has a 100% score on every aspect: he is top careful, has scope, has a great rideability and has a super attitude. The first five mares in Jamboree's pedigree all jumped at 1.30m-level or higher and Nimmerdor-daughter La Belle S even performed at 1.50m-level. With Vigo d'Arsouilles, Carolus Il, Hold Up Premier, Cash, and Nimmerdor in a row, Jamboree brings together top genes from all over Europe. (JAZZ X FLEMMINGH)

Ridden by Hans Peter Minderhoud, Glock’s Johnson TN N.O.P. has risen to be one of world’s best combinations in dressage. The son of Jazz takes in the 11th placing on the FEI World Ranking, was ranked 8th individually at the Olympic Games in Rio, won the golden team medal and individual bronze at the European Championships in Aachen. “His outstanding attitude has made the greatest difference at the highest level. Even if he is almost unable to do something, Johnson will do it for you anyhow”, rider Hans Peter Minderhoud says about his number one horse. “When Johnson enters the ring, all people will sit up. He truly is a king!”

After the phenomenal performances of Johnson in Aachen last year, you could almost forget the bronze team medal at the World Equestrian Games in Caen 2014. And of course the victories in the Grand Prix and Grand Prix Spécial in Treffen, the second placings in the Grand Prix and Grand Prix Freestyle in Rotterdam, et cetera.

As a sire, Johnson seems to walk in the footsteps of his sire Jazz and grandsire Flemmingh. Jazz himself performed at Grand Prix level and for many years has been among world’s best dressage sires on the WBFSH Sire Ranking. Through offspring like Krack C and Lingh, also Flemmingh has left its mark on today’s breeding of dressage horses. The offspring of Johnson make great impressions on all levels as well. The approved stallion Meggle’s Boston (Hendrik Lochthowe) already performs at Grand Prix level, while Bretton Woods (Matthias Alexander Rath) and Boston STH (Denise Nekeman) are close to it. Also on the KWPN shows, the offspring of Johnson does a fantastic job. Just think of Handsome O, the champion of the KWPN Stallion Show in 2015.

(CONCORDE X ARMSTRONG)

Larino is a son of the sports horse producer of the 21st century, Olympic Concorde. Concorde already has a great number of children that perform at international level. Larino has in his pedigree four famous and successful showjumper producers. Larino’s dam Erina is a daughter of the famous Ramiro offspring, Armstrong. In the report the KWPN judge made, she is described as a very nice mare with a lot of expression. The stallion Larino is out of a lineage that produced many sports horses in the motherline. For example great grandmother Rosalinda (Cassy) got a 10 for jumping under the saddle at her IBOP in 1981. At an older age this mare won many 1.30 classes with Janny Horsey.

Grandmother Warina, by Ridder, is a ster-preferent-performance mare. She produced the international jumper Romulus, which was second in the Grand Prix of Gothenburg with Peter Geerink and the approved stallion Couperus. He is for example the sire of the famous stallion Mr. Blue, which jumps extraordinary well with Alice Haas. The very interesting motherline of Larino starts with the dominant Holsteiner stallion Normann. At Ermelo during the 70 day Performance Test, Larino was described by the jury as a stallion which jumps with a very good foreleg technique and a very good use of the back. Moreover Larino shows a lot of scope and a superb canter. Larino was Reserve Champion of the IAN-competition for 4 year old horses in 1997 in the Netherlands and also at the Finals of the UTV jumping class for 4 year olds. At the first round of the Stallion Competition at Giesbeek Larino was awarded two times a nine for his jumping technique and scope. In 1999 Larino and Peter Geerink started their international career by participating successfully in the Youngster Cup at Arnhem, The Hague and Mechelen and he was awarded ‘the coming stallion’. In 2001 Larino made his Grand Prix debut in style. He finished 2th in The Hague, 3th in Valkenswaard and he had a fantastic clear round in the nations cup in Rotterdam, as well as equal 6th in the Grand Prix. He was the youngest competitor at the Dutch Championships in Mierlo, where he finished 6th. His oldest offspring, Redefin and Siep, are making a big impact on the jumping scene by winning at the IAN-finals at Ermelo in 2002 and 2003. Larino’s offspring now have international publicity. Redefin was sold to Canadian Olympic rider Ian Millar and Rivel C. went to Kris Kappler in the USA.

Larino is only available by means of frozen semen.

Pilothago is an Westphalian ‘Prämie’ stallion and the last approved son of the legendary sire Pilot. Both as a sire and a dam’s sire or grandsire Pilot’s value in breeding is still of great importance. International showjumping stars like Priamos, Bugatti Pedro, Pirol, Poker and Pia Lotta are all direct offspring by the famous Pilot, while his approved sons also have made name for themselves. Just think of Iroko and Peter Pan and another 90 (!) approved stallions by Pilot.

In the second generation, the pedigree of Pilothago goes back to two-time Olympic showjumper Carthago and the world-class sires Stakkato and Grannus. Also the damline of Pilothago is of great strength: dam Valerie already produced the Westphalian approved stallion Diathago and she is the half-sister to the international showjumper Maximo del Castegno and the 1.50m jumper Gioia del Castegno, both ridden by Roberto Prandi. In addition, Pilothago’s granddam Sera del Castegno is the full sister to the Oldenburg and Hanoverian approved Sicerto, who jumped at  international level with Rolf Moormann.

Pilothago stood out with his talent as a showjumper during the 70-days-test in Neustadt-Dosse, earning an 8.75 for jumping under the saddle. For his character he received several 8s. Quality Time TN
(QUANTUM X CANTUS)

Everything indicates that Quality Time is going to be a true foundation sire of showjumpers. His son Floris TN has been approved by the KWPN and every year again sons of Quality Time earn tickets for the second and third round or even the performance test of the KWPN Stallion Selections. In addition, his daughters Féline and Fadessa H2 received fantastic scores of 83 and 86.5 points for the KWPN Mare Test IBOP.

The famous breeder Floris van Leuken bred Quality Time, who is a son of the well-known Quantum – sire to Grand Prix showjumpers such as Quintero la Silla, GK Quentin, Karatina and Quin Chin. In addition, Quality Time was bred out of an excellent damline as well: granddam Jessika II produced the valuable stallion Goodwill and out of this same Holsteiner damline 1463, the Olympic showjumpers Lanciano (Philippe Guerdat) and Lucilla II (Princess Haya) were bred. Ridden by Jeroen Dubbeldam, Quality was among the Netherlands’ best combinations. In 2011 they became Dutch champion and one year later they won the Grand Prix of San Patrignano. Last year the talented rider Zoï Snels took over the reins

of the experienced Quality Time. “Quality Time gets me to a higher level in the sport, I really owe that to him. Quality Time is careful and has unlimited power and has an dedication of 100%. He would always bring me to the nish, in any class. And this top attitude he passes on, because his offspring have it as well!”

Spielberg

Learn More
Spielberg

Spielberg is a dressage stallion to dream of. His conformation is almost ideal and he is a true ‘Strahlemann’. Thanks to his great movements, he obtained as only one of the few Westphalian stallions the title ‘Prämie’ stallion.
Sire Sunny Boy is an acclaimed son of Sandro Hit out of the Donnerhall-daughter Fantastica – the full sister of the legendary Don Schufro and Don Primero. Spielberg’s grandsire Rosier brings in the precious genes of Rubinstein I, who was bred out of the famous damline of Olympic champions Ahlerich, Rembrandt and Amon.
Through dam Rosiera, Spielberg goes back to Rondula, who is also the granddam of the Grand Prix dressage horse Last Minute, ridden by Ilka-Kerstin Geiss.

Besides a great size, Spielberg adds a fantastic mind to today’s breeding of dressage horses. Thereby Spielberg has a lot of rhythm and balance in his movements.
Spielberg was succesful in higher level dressage under the Dutch rider Joyce Lenaerts.

Spielberg’s oldest offspring also perform at respectable level: ridden by Fieke Houwen, Spielberg’s Cartier made his debut at Prix St. Georges level and ridden by Robin van Lierop, Denza Lenza also performs at this same level.

Verdi TN

Verdi TN

From 1-8 Verdi is available in fresh semen on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.

Verdi TN  is the best example of sport and breeding going hand in hand. For years, Verdi combines his career as a sire with a sports career at the very highest level. Last year, Verdi and his rider Maikel van der Vleuten jumped three clear round during the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro! He already competed at the major championship; European Championships in Madrid 2011, Olympic Games in London 2012, European Championships in Herning 2013, World Equestrian Games in Caen 2014 and European Championship in Aachen 2015. In addition, Verdi took part in no less than three World Cup Finals, in which he finished twice as 6th and once as 7th! With Olympic team silver, team gold at the WEG and European team gold in his pocket, the 15-year-old Verdi is still going strong.

Besides his own performances, Verdi’s pedigree is also outtstanding. Sire Quidam de Revel is one of the most influential sires of the past decades and the same goes for Verdi’s legendary grandsire Landgraf I. Verdi was bred out of the famous Holsteiner damline 747a, which also produced Calato, VDL Bubalu, Vingino and many more world-class showjumpers and stallions.

It does not come as a surprise that Verdi is developing into a true foundation sire himself. From his first crops of offspring, one after another jumps at Grand Prix level and although his oldest progeny is only 10 years old, over 80 offspring by Verdi jump at 1.40m level or higher! In addition, his sons Farmgraaf and First Verdi were approved by the KWPN and Verdi produced numerous champions at KWPN Mare Shows.

(CLINTON X LORD Z)

Zacharov is the perfect example of performance breeding as we love to see nowadays. Zacharov’s pedigree include Olympic sire Clinton, the extremely competitive Lord Z, Stallion of the Century Nimmerdor, the legendary Almé and the indispensable Gotthard. In addition, Zacharov’s damline goes back to the well-known mare Antje Z. This daughter of Almé is a result of the same combination as World Cup Finalists and famous stallion Artos Z and Aerobic Z, sons of Almé bred out of the full sisters of Antje’s dam. Additionally, Antje Z stood at the base of Grand Prix horses like Toldine (Francie Steinwedell-Carvin), Shinto (José Maria Rega) and Plenty (Eliza Schuford). Zacharov’s dam Oldine already produced the international showjumpers Adventure (Riccardo Pisani), Uladine (Martina Meroni) and Carolus

(Jörg Peper), while her grandchildren Aldine (Jordan MacPherson) and Zsa Zsa (Patrick Spits) compete at 1.60m and 1.40m level. Ridden by Maikel van der Vleuten and Hanno Ellerman, Zacharoved already performed at international level at a very young age. Zacharov won the World Cup of Pezinok in 2013, the Grand Prix of Mierlo and the Gold Tour in Celje, while he already made his Grand Prix debut as an 8-year-old. Zacharov was placed in the top 10 at prestigious shows like Valkenswaard, Lanaken, Oliva, Lyon, Hamburg and Basel. As a sire, Zacharov stays loyal to his pedigree and his own fantastic performances. His oldest offspring have already made their international debut.

Zambesi TN
(HEARTBREAKER X CALVARO Z)

Zambesi is the result of sport horse breeding with a vision. The legendary Heartbreaker, who is world-famous for his reflexes and attitude, was combined with Calvaro Z, who stood out due to his unlimited scope. Zambesi’s dam Calanda Z jumped at international level with Mathijs van Asten, while granddam Alanda performed at international level with Pieter Kersten. Alanda is a daughter of Le Mexico and bred many top horses, such as It’s The Business (Geoff Glassard) and Galanda (Edwin Smits), who is again the dam to Now or Never (Piet Raijmakers).

As a youngster, Zambesi himself was already successful in showjumping: at the age of six he qualified for the finals at the World Championships in Lanaken and ridden by Sjaak Sleiderink he became three times second out of four competitions in the KWPN Stallion Competition, of which he won both the final and the overall standings in Den Bosch. Later on, Zambesi competed successfully at 1.45m level.

Zambesi’s offspring show great potential for the big sport. For example, the now six-year-old Fozz was acquired by Ashford Farm for top-rider Marlon Zanotelli in 2015, his offspring stand out in young horse competitions again and again and a son of Zambesi x Polydor became reserve champion of the Stallion Show in Westphalia. Just like Zambesi himself, his offspring show reflexes, a great attitude and a lot of power.

Poker De Mariposa
(NABAB DE RÊVE X BERLIN)

Convincingly, Poker de Mariposa became the vice champion of the 3-year-old showjumping stallions at the BWP Stallion Show 2018. The son of top sire Nabab de Rêve showed off a lot of scope and quality on the fence and seems to have a good ride ability for such a young horse. Poker de Mariposas pedigree is to dream of. Sire Nabab de Rêve has been one of the best producers of showjumpers in the world for years and his sons Vigo d’Arsouilles and Kashmir van Schuttershof continue this successful line of sires. Grandsire Berlin won team gold at the World Equestrian Games in Aachen in 2006 with Gerco Schröder and has become a foundation sire with offspring like Athena (Aniek Poels), Caspar (Emanuele Gaudiano) and Zilverstar T (Nicola Philippaerts). Great-grandsire For Pleasure is without a doubt one of the most influential showjumping stallions of the past decades.

The damline of Poker de Mariposa is exceptional: for years granddam Flora de Mariposa has been known as one of the best showjumpers in the world. Ridden by Pénélope Leprévost, the mare won a gold medal with the French team at the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro in 2016 and won the five-star Grand Prix of Antwerp and the World Cup Qualifiers of Oslo and Lyon. Her daughter Ilena de Mariposa also performed at 1.45m level with Leprévost and recently the French rider Nicolas Delmotte took over the reins. Ilena de Mariposa is the dam of Poker de Mariposa, who is also closely related to former BWP champion Hermes de Mariposa. Ridden by both Henrik von Eckermann and Mohammed Al Hajri, Hermes de Mariposa competes at the highest level. Previously, Poker de Mariposas half-brother Nestor de Mariposa got already approved by the BWP and also the promising Matisse de Mariposa is closely related to this Nabab de Rêve-son.

With his excellent pedigree and very convincing showjumping qualities under the saddle, Poker de Mariposa seems to be a great asset for the breeding of showjumpers.
