Inventory Manager/LVT
Overview:
Keswick Equine Clinic located in Central Virginia is looking for a part-time or full-time motivated and energetic individual to support our busy and growing three doctor practice. As a high-volume equine ambulatory practice, we are seeking a candidate who can deliver excellent customer service with an eagerness to learn and grow with our team!
The ideal candidate must have excellent communication, organizational, and people skills. A background with equine knowledge is a must in addition to a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and in a team environment. The ideal candidate will be someone who will demonstrate initiative and who can quickly grasp the day-to-day functions of a fast-paced working environment. The desire to assist on farm calls or performing technical duties would be considered a bonus!
Skills and Qualifications
- 1 yr. equine veterinary experience/knowledge (required)
- Veterinary Technician License (Strongly Preferred)
- HS diploma or equivalent (required)
- Critical thinking and effective decision-making abilities.
- Excellent time management and multi-tasking skills.
- Strong interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills.
- Computer skills (Microsoft office, Google Workspace)
- Cornerstone software experience a plus (not required)
- Geographical knowledge of the Charlottesville and surrounding areas is a plus.
Position Details:
- Manage and control of inventory
- 2 days a week assist doctors in truck at client locations (potential for more time assisting)
- Answer multiple phone line system
- Schedule appointments logistically, allocating appropriate amount of drive time for farm visits/stops using Google Maps and Calendar.
- Facilitate effective communication between clients and veterinarians.
- Create invoices and process payments
- Process in house medication requests
- Process, package and ship diagnostic samples to outside labs
- Maintain client and patient files to ensure information is current and correct
- Process in-house diagnostics such as bloodwork, fecal samples
- Receive orders for frozen semen, prepare and ship specimens
- Additional responsibilities as assigned
