Quarterly News & Updates October 2025

Happy Fall Y'all!!

With the arrival of Autumn the days are getting shorter and the horses are getting furrier! The crisp air. The colorful leaves. For many people, fall is a favorite time of year. It means hot chocolate, cozy scarves, Halloween movies and, of course, all things pumpkin.

But for horse people, autumn means just a bit more. It means, fall vaccines, deworming, preparing for colder weather by adjusting diets from summer pastures to hay, ensuring adequate hydration, and providing shelter.

Owners must also watch for seasonal health issues like allergies and respiratory problems, be aware of the risk of impaction colic from dry feed and reduced water intake, and manage hoof health in potentially muddy conditions.

However, fall also presents opportunities for increased bonding time, cooler, more comfortable weather for riding and fewer flies. Not to mention picturesque fall landscapes for beautiful horse photos!

Spotlight on Client Education!

This year's Client Education Seminar was a HUGE Success!

Thank you to everyone who came out to join us in September for this fun event. We welcomed back Dr. McDaniel who had been out on medical leave for a back injury since mid June. Clients and staff alike are extremely happy to have her back!!

We also learned all about Equine Osteoarthritis from Dr. Amy Peoples with Dechra, discovered a fantastic new venue, Madison at the Mill, and ate the most delicious food from Red Bud catering.

Most of all we enjoyed getting to spend time with and getting to know all of you! We don't often get to just hang out with you all and for those of us in the office it's always nice to be able to put faces to the voices on the other end of the phone.

We are pouring over the client feedback forms and appreciate all of your positive responses as well as your suggestions for our next client education seminar topics.

We look forward to seeing you all again soon!
