Acupuncture

Acupuncture is a complementary therapy that involves placing thin needles along acupuncture points to treat or prevent disease and pain. The goal of acupuncture is to restore balance and help the body heal by re-establishing homeostasis. The needle stimulation sends signals to the spinal cord and the brainstem, decreasing the pain response and increasing blood flow, while also causing muscle and tissue relaxation. Acupuncture is used to treat colic, laminitis, allergies, lameness, soreness and much more. At KEC, every acupuncture treatment is preceded by a thorough exam with palpation and spinal manipulation to guide treatment.
